More than 30 New Chicago Photos Added

They can be seen on ASD's Home Town Chicago page and may randomly appear on the Travel Photos slideshow on ASD's Home Page: Dalinka.com.

Site modifications are underway

Trying to do away with the last vestiges of the old format for the site.  As the asdhollywood.com pages migrate to the "Redesigned" look and code (Summer 2011 iWeb version), some page errors may appear if you haven't cleared your cache since your last visit or if I inadvertently don't link something correctly.  Simply reloading is not always enough to get the page to display correctly as the migration continues -- please stay tuned, but clear your cache from time-to-time.  I hope to complete this project in June 2012.

As I work through the migration, I am adding photos throughout the site to reward those visiting old pages.  Enjoy and thanks for your patience.

Downtown Chicago Disney Stores Photos Added

Photos from 2009 of the Disney Store on Michigan Avenue and Photos from 2010 of the Disney Store at Block 37 on State Street have been added to the page of DisneyQuest/ESPNZone Chicago photos.

40+ New Photos of Chicago

Warmest March on record meant more time outdoors than usual.  Lots of photos from North Michigan Avenue and Lincoln Park, among others.  These new photos (from October 2011 to March 2012) can appear within the Random 50 Photos on ASD's Home Page and all of them are included on the Home Town Chicago page (albeit in random order).  

I've also taken this opportunity to fix the links to photos stored off-site so that there shouldn't be missing photos.  If you find a photo wouldn't load, please let me know what page of the site you were viewing and a description of what wouldn't load.

Walt Disney World for New Year's 2011-12

Just back from celebrating the New Year at Walt Disney World.  Lots of photos and, of course, the countdown fireworks from New Year's Eve.

Another Las Vegas Xmas

Just back from another Vegas Xmas trip.  More Photos and Videos from December 21 to 25, 2011 coming soon, with most taken with the iPhone 4S (including some cool shots with the Slow Shutter App).

They're now in the mix of photos for the "50 Random" photos on DALINKA.com as well as the random slideshow on the  Hometown Chicago page.

Site Update Status

With the completion of today's update to the Disneyland Pages, every page on the site except for the pages linked from the Walt Disney World Pages now has the new format.

I've also written a bit of code to try to stop the time & date greeting from going off the page when we get into day/month combos as long as Wednesday, September 21, 2011.

Status of Website's New Format

A major landmark early today, September 10, 2011: Every page available from the menus here on the Update Blog, the Travel Blog and the pull-down menus at ASDHollywood.com and DALINKA.com now is available in the new format (with a link to its prior version in case something is not working).

The "50 Random" photos feature on the first page of DALINKA.com now selects from more than 1200 of the photos posted to the site! Nearly every photo in the slideshow now has a fairly descriptive title and the exact date it was taken.

The Hometown Chicago page now randomizes the order of the slideshow and provides five immediate jump points by description of photo and its date.

Now See More than 500 Chicago Photos

As the site redesign progresses along, I've added hundreds of Chicago photos to the newly re-designed Home Town Chicago page. One of the features of the new design is that the slide show now displays the photos in a random order and that five random photos have direct links with descriptions to the left of the slide show. Enjoy.
